Policies & Information

Official Policies, Processes & Artist Framework

1. What is Axent Recordings?

Axent Recordings is an independent electronic music record label built with a clear focus on quality control, artist development, and structured decision-making rather than volume-based releases.

Axent is not designed as an open-upload platform or a mass-release label. It functions as a curated label, where every release, collaboration, and artist relationship is carefully evaluated through defined internal processes

Core Identity of Axent Recordings

Axent Recordings operates with three core pillars:

1. Music Quality Over Quantity

Axent prioritises strong musical ideas, originality, and execution rather than frequent or rushed releases. Every track that reaches the release stage passes through multiple levels of review before approval.

2. Artist-Centric but Label-Driven

Axent supports artists creatively while maintaining firm label standards. Artists are encouraged to evolve, but final release decisions remain aligned with Axent’s long-term artistic direction.

3. Structured & Professional Operations

Axent runs with clearly defined systems for:

• Demo submissions

• Feedback and revisions

• Artist communication

• Management and contracts

• Releases, royalties, and credits

This ensures transparency, consistency, and fairness across all artists.

What Axent Recordings Is NOT

To avoid confusion, Axent Recordings is not:

• A paid feedback service

• A subscription-based label

• A guaranteed-release platform

• A demo-upload-for-exposure page

• A mass-collaboration collective

Every interaction with Axent is merit-based, not payment-based or influence-based.

How Axent Recordings Functions as a Label

Axent Recordings functions through a multi-layer internal structure, including:

• A&R teams operating at different evaluation levels

• A defined feedback and revision system

• Final decision authority held at label-head level

• Official communication through dedicated domain-based emails

Only decisions communicated through official Axent channels are considered valid.

Long-Term Vision of Axent Recordings

Axent is built with a long-term mindset. The label focuses on:

• Sustainable artist growth

• Consistent brand identity

• Controlled release strategy

• Maintaining credibility with artists and industry professionals

Rather than expanding rapidly, Axent expands deliberately.

Summary

Axent Recordings is a professionally structured electronic music label that values:

• Clear processes

• Artistic integrity

• Controlled growth

• Transparent communication

Every demo, artist, and release is treated within a defined framework to maintain consistency and trust on both sides.

2. What genres are accepted at Axent Recordings?

Axent Recordings is a genre-focused electronic music label, not an open-genre platform. The label accepts and works only within specific electronic sub-genres that align with Axent’s sound identity and long-term vision.

Submitting music outside these genres significantly reduces the chances of a demo moving forward, regardless of production quality.

Genres Accepted at Axent Recordings

Axent Recordings currently accepts demos only in the following genres:

• Big Room House

• Progressive House

• Techno

• Big Room Techno

• Electro House

• Tech House

• Hardstyle

These genres define Axent’s core sound palette and release strategy.

Genre Alignment Matters More Than Labels, simply tagging a track under an accepted genre is not enough. Axent evaluates whether the track genuinely fits the musical language, structure, and energy expected within that genre.

For example:

A Techno track submitted with Big Room elements may still be rejected if it doesn’t align cleanly with

Axent’s direction.

A Progressive House track with weak progression or festival-oriented drops may not pass evaluation.

Genres NOT Accepted

Axent Recordings does not accept demos in genres such as (but not limited to):

• Hip-Hop / Rap

• Pop (commercial or radio pop)

• EDM Pop / Dance Pop

• Trap / Bass / Dubstep

• Experimental or genre-blending tracks that lack clear identity

If a track does not clearly sit within Axent’s accepted genres, it is likely to be rejected at Stage 1.

Why Axent Keeps Genre Limits

Axent limits its genres intentionally to:

• Maintain a strong and recognisable label identity

• Ensure consistent audience targeting

• Avoid diluting the brand with unrelated sounds

• Provide better A&R evaluation quality within known styles

Summary

Axent Recordings accepts demos only within a defined set of electronic music genres.

Genre alignment is evaluated seriously, and being outside these genres is a valid reason for rejection, regardless of track quality. This allows Axent to grow deep, not wide.

3. How do I send my demo to Axent Recordings?

Axent Recordings follows a strict and centralised demo submission process. All demos are accepted only through one official channel. Any deviation from this process can result in the demo being ignored without review.

Official Demo Submission Email

All demos must be sent only to: demos@axentrecordings.com

This is the only valid demo submission address for Axent Recordings.

Demos will NOT be reviewed if they are sent to:

• personal emails

• management emails

• feedback, releases, or any other Axent address

Demo Submission Format

When sending your demo, ensure the following:

• One demo per email only

• Private SoundCloud link (make it downloadable)

• Do not attach audio files directly

• Avoid ZIP files or heavy downloadable folders

Emails that do not follow this format may be skipped without notice.

Email Content Guidelines

Your demo email should be simple and professional.

Recommended structure:

• Artist Name

• Track Name

•     Private SoundCloud link (download enabled)

• Brief one-line introduction (optional)

Avoid:

• Long biographies

• Press kits

• Multiple track links

• Social media links unless specifically relevant

The music should speak for itself.

Auto Acknowledgement

Once a demo is sent to demos@axentrecordings.com, an automated acknowledgment email is sent confirming receipt.

This acknowledgment:

• Confirms your demo was received

• Does not imply review, feedback, or approval

• Does not indicate priority

Follow-ups & Re-submissions

• Do not send follow-up emails asking for updates

• Do not resend the same demo unless feedback explicitly asks for a revision

• Repeated follow-ups may result in the demo being skipped

Axent’s A&R reviews demos based on internal workflow, not submission pressure.

Important Note

Submitting a demo to Axent Recordings means:

• You have read and accepted Axent’s demo policies

• You understand the evaluation process

• You agree to wait for official communication

No submission guarantees feedback, response, or release consideration.

4. What happens after I send my demo to Axent Recordings?

Once you submit your demo to demos@axentrecordings.com, it enters Axent Recordings’ internal demo evaluation workflow. From this point onward, the process is entirely handled by the label.

Step 1: Demo Receipt Confirmation

• An automated acknowledgment email is sent to confirm that your demo has been received.

• This confirmation only verifies receipt.

It does not indicate:

• approval

• feedback

• priority review

• shortlisting

The demo is now queued internally.

Step 2: Entry into Demo Evaluation Pipeline

Your demo is placed into Axent’s multi-stage A&R evaluation system, which includes:

• Initial A&R screening

• In-depth A&R evaluation

• Final label-level review (if applicable)

Each demo progresses only on merit, not on submission date pressure, follow-ups, or personal outreach.

Step 3: Internal Review (No Artist Action Required)

During the review phase:

• Artists are not required to take any action

• No updates are provided during evaluation

• Follow-up emails are not permitted

Silence during this phase is normal and does not imply rejection or approval.

Step 4: Possible Outcomes

After review, one of the following outcomes occurs:

1. Feedback is issued

• Sent via feedback@axentrecordings.com

• May include revision suggestions

• Subject to feedback limitations

2. Track progresses to next evaluation stage

• No immediate notification may be sent

• Review continues internally

3. Track is declined

• Artist is informed via official email

• Rejection is final for that demo

4. Track is shortlisted or approved

• Further communication is initiated

• Management discussions may follow

Step 5: Communication Channels

All official communication will come only from Axent’s official emails, such as:

feedback@axentrecordings.com

management@axentrecordings.com

releases@axentrecordings.com

Messages from any other source should not be considered official.

Important Clarifications

• Not receiving feedback does not mean your demo was ignored

• Not all demos receive responses

• Approval at any stage does not guarantee a release

• Decisions are internal and final for the submitted demo

Artists are encouraged to continue creating new music rather than waiting on a single submission.

5. Does receiving feedback mean my demo is likely to be released?

No. Receiving feedback from Axent Recordings does not mean that your demo has been approved, shortlisted, or guaranteed for release.

• Feedback is provided strictly as part of Axent’s A&R evaluation process and is intended to highlight creative, structural, or technical aspects of the demo.

• A demo may receive one or multiple rounds of feedback and still not progress to later evaluation stages or release discussions.

• Feedback should not be interpreted as signing interest, release intent, or contractual commitment.

• Final decisions are taken only after internal review across A&R levels and final label evaluation.

• Only official written communication from Axent Recordings confirming approval or next steps should be considered valid.

Demo feedback is communicated exclusively via

feedback@axentrecordings.com

If a demo moves beyond feedback and enters discussion or coordination stages, communication will be routed via

artists@axentrecordings.com

Release approvals, signing discussions, or label decisions are communicated only via

management@axentrecordings.com

Artists are advised to treat feedback as part of the evaluation process, not as an indication of release, signing, or future guarantees.

6. How do I get signed at Axent Recordings?

Getting signed at Axent Recordings is a process-driven outcome, not an application or request-based decision. Artists are signed only through the official demo evaluation pipeline.

There are no shortcuts, referrals, or direct sign-up options.

Step 1: Demo Submission

All artists must begin by submitting music to:

demos@axentrecordings.com

Only demos sent to this address are considered.

Submissions sent to personal, management, or social media channels are ignored.

Step 2: Multi-Level Demo Evaluation

Every demo goes through Axent’s structured evaluation system:

• Stage 1 – A&R Level 1

• Stage 2 – A&R Level 2

• Stage 3 – A&R Level 3 + Final Label Review

Progression depends entirely on the quality, originality, and direction of the music.

Step 3: Feedback & Revisions (If Applicable)

• Feedback may be provided during Stage 1 or Stage 2

• A maximum of three feedback rounds per demo is allowed

• Revisions are optional, not mandatory

• New demos always have priority over revised demos

Feedback does not imply signing or release.

Step 4: Shortlisting

If a demo stands out artistically and strategically:

• The track may be shortlisted

• Further internal discussion may occur

• This stage still does not guarantee signing

Shortlisting is not a contract.

Step 5: Official Signing Communication

An artist is considered officially signed only when:

• Written confirmation is sent from: management@axentrecordings.com

• All required agreements are executed

Verbal conversations, positive feedback, or demo approval do not constitute a signing.

What Does NOT Get You Signed

• Asking to be signed

• Sending repeated follow-ups

• Name-dropping

• Social media DMs

• Re-uploading the same rejected demo

• Pressure or negotiation attempts

What Actually Helps

• Submitting strong, original music

• Understanding Axent’s sound and direction

• Applying feedback properly

• Sending new music, not endless revisions

• Being professional and patient

Step 6: Axent Artist Domain Email

Once an artist is officially signed with Axent Recordings, the artist may be issued an official Axent domain email address in the format:

artistname@axentrecordings.com

It is provided based on operational need, role, and active involvement with the label.

Purpose of the Axent Domain Email

The Axent domain email is provided strictly for:

. Official communication with Axent teams

. Release-related coordination

. Artist management and scheduling

. Royalties, credits, and documentation

. Business or collaboration discussions approved by Axent

Usage Rules & Guidelines:

The @axentrecordings.com email must be used responsibly and professionally.

. It represents Axent Recordings as an organization

. It must not be used for personal conversations

. It must not be used for spam, mass mailing, or unsolicited outreach

. It must not be used to contact other labels, artists, or brands without approval

. It must not be shared or accessed by third parties

Any misuse of the Axent domain email may result in:

. Immediate suspension of the email access

. Formal warning

. Further action as per Axent policies

Important Clarification

. Having an Axent domain email does not grant decision-making authority

. It does not imply ownership, partnership, or management rights

. It does not override official communication protocols

All official decisions, approvals, and confirmations are still communicated only through designated Axent departments.

Important Clarification

Axent Recordings signs music first, not hype, followers, or promises.

An artist may get signed after:

• One demo

• Multiple demos

• Or not at all

There is no fixed timeline.

Summary

You get signed at Axent by:

• Submitting music

• Passing the evaluation process

• Receiving official written confirmation

Anything outside this process is not a signing.

7. Who owns the rights to a demo after submission?

When an artist submits a demo to Axent Recordings, it is important to clearly understand how rights and ownership are handled.

Axent Recordings follows a strict evaluation-only approach for demo submissions. Submitting a demo is only a request for review, not a transfer of ownership, rights, or control over the music.

The demo is reviewed internally by the A&R team to assess creative direction, quality, and alignment with Axent. No commercial, legal, or distribution action is taken unless the artist and Axent mutually agree to move forward through a formal process.

Rights & Ownership Handling:

• The artist retains 100% ownership of the demo at all times

• Submitting a demo does not transfer copyright, publishing, or master rights to Axent

• Axent does not register, distribute, monetize, or exploit demos without written agreement

• Demos are used only for internal A&R evaluation purposes

• No demo is shared with third parties outside Axent’s internal review process

• Rights discussions begin only after a demo is shortlisted and approved

• Any future release or collaboration happens only after formal written agreements are executed

If a demo is not selected, the submission remains entirely the artist’s property and Axent has no further claim, obligation, or involvement with that track.

Submitting a demo to Axent Recordings does not affect ownership in any way. Rights remain with the artist unless a separate, written agreement is signed after approval. Axent’s review process is strictly evaluative and non-binding.

8. How does feedback work at Axent Recordings?

Feedback at Axent Recordings is structured, limited, and merit-based. It is not guaranteed for every demo and is never open-ended. Feedback exists to refine strong ideas — not to coach unfinished work indefinitely.

Who Sends Feedback?

All feedback is sent officially from:

feedback@axentrecordings.com

Feedback is issued by Axent’s A&R team based on the stage your demo is currently in.

When Is Feedback Given?

Feedback is provided only if:

• The demo shows clear potential

• The track aligns with Axent’s creative direction

• A&R believes revisions could realistically improve the track

If these conditions are not met, no feedback is issued.

Feedback Across Evaluation Stages

Feedback may be given at: Stage 1 – A&R Level 1

High-level feedback focused on concept, structure, and direction: Stage 2 – A&R Level 2

Feedback is not provided at Stage 3. Stage 3 is decision-only.

Feedback Limitations (Very Important)

Across all stages combined:

• Maximum 3 feedback rounds per demo

• Feedback can occur at Stage 1 or Stage 2

• Once 3 feedback rounds are completed:

• The demo becomes INVALID

• No further feedback, revisions, or reviews are allowed

• This rule is final and non-negotiable

This applies regardless of which stage the demo is in.

Revised Demo Priority

• Revised demos are reviewed after new demo submissions

• New demos always have priority

• Feedback on revised demos may take longer

Sending multiple follow-ups will not speed up the process.

Tone & Nature of Feedback

Axent feedback is:

• Direct

• Technical

• Objective

• Non-negotiable

Feedback is not a discussion, debate, or collaboration request.

Artists are expected to either:

• Apply the feedback and resubmit

• Or move on and submit new music

Rejection After Feedback

If a demo is rejected after feedback:

• You will be informed via email

• No further feedback is provided on that demo

• Rejection applies only to that specific demo, not the artist

Artists are welcome to submit new material.

Key Clarifications

• Feedback ≠ Approval

• Feedback ≠ Signing

• Feedback ≠ Guarantee of release

Feedback only means the demo was worth reviewing further.

Summary

• Feedback is selective, limited, and stage-based

• Maximum 3 feedback rounds per demo

• Revisions are reviewed after new demos

• All feedback comes from feedback@axentrecordings.com

Professionalism and restraint matter more than persistence.

9. Can I submit the same demo to multiple labels while submitting to Axent?

Axent Recordings allows artists to submit demos that may also be sent to other labels. However, there are clear expectations and boundaries around this.

Axent’s Position on Multiple Submissions

• Axent does not require exclusivity at the demo stage

• You are free to submit the same track to other labels while it is under review at Axent

• Axent understands that artists explore multiple opportunities

That said, professionalism is expected.

What Axent Expects from Artists

If your demo is:

• Signed by another label

• Officially scheduled for release elsewhere

• Entered into a binding agreement

You must immediately inform Axent and communication should be sent to:

demos@axentrecordings.com or feedback@axentrecordings.com

What You Should NOT Do

• Accept approval from Axent and another label simultaneously

• Continue revision feedback with Axent after signing elsewhere

• Hide the fact that the track has been locked or released

Such actions may result in future submissions being ignored.

If Axent Approves the Demo First

• Axent will initiate further discussion

• You will be asked to confirm availability and intent

• At this stage, the demo must remain uncommitted elsewhere

Once discussions begin, transparency becomes mandatory.

If Another Label Approves First

• Axent expects honest disclosure

• The demo will be closed respectfully

• This does not affect your ability to submit new music to Axent

Important Clarification

Axent evaluates music, not tactics.

Being honest about your demo’s status builds trust.

Being silent after approval damages credibility.

Summary

• Multiple submissions are allowed at demo stage

• Approval requires exclusivity and transparency

• Signed elsewhere = inform Axent immediately

• Honesty protects long-term opportunities

10. How many demos can I send to Axent, and how often?

Axent Recordings does not operate on a bulk-submission or spam-based model.

Quality, intent, and discipline matter more than quantity.

Demo Submission Limit

• Artists are allowed to submit one (1) demo per email

• Multiple demos sent in a single email may be skipped without review

• Each demo is treated as an individual submission

Submission Frequency

• Artists are encouraged to submit one demo at a time

• Sending multiple demos in a short span does not increase chances of selection

• New demos should ideally be sent after the previous demo’s review cycle is completed

Axent prioritises new demos over revised demos, but flooding the inbox works against the artist.

Revision vs New Demo

• Revised demos (after feedback) are allowed only as per policy

• New demos are always reviewed before revisions

• Repeated submissions without waiting for feedback may result in demos being skipped

Professional Expectation

Axent values:

• Patience

• Growth between submissions

• Intentional sending, not volume-based attempts

Artists who respect the process are taken more seriously in the long run.

Official demo submission email: demos@axentrecordings.com

11. Can I submit demos under a different artist name or alias?

Yes, Axent Recordings allows demo submissions under different artist names or aliases, with clear conditions.

Allowed Scenarios

• You may submit demos under:

• A new project name

• An alias

• A side-project identity

• The music is evaluated independently of your past submissions or identity

Axent listens to the track first, not the name.

Important Disclosure Rule

If:

• You have submitted earlier demos under a different name

• You are rebranding or testing a new identity

You are encouraged (not required) to disclose this once serious discussion begins.

Transparency helps avoid confusion during:

• Shortlisting

• Signing

• Contracting

• Branding alignment

What You Should Not Do

• Submit the same track under multiple artist names

• Use aliases to bypass invalidation or feedback limits

• Attempt parallel submissions of identical material under different identities

Such actions may result in demos being ignored entirely.

After Signing

• Once officially signed, the artist name used for release becomes fixed

• Any future aliases or projects require prior approval

• Official @axentrecordings.com email IDs are issued only under the signed artist identity

12. Can I submit unfinished demos or ideas?

Axent Recordings does not review unfinished demos, sketches, or idea-level submissions.

What Axent Considers “Unfinished”

• Incomplete arrangements

• Loop-based ideas without full song structure

• Draft versions sent “just for opinion”

• Tracks missing proper buildup, breakdown, or ending

• Demos sent with notes like “still working on it” or “rough idea”

Such submissions may be skipped without review.

What Axent Expects

• A complete, start-to-finish track

• Clear arrangement and structure

• Intentional production decisions

• A version that represents your best possible work at the time of submission

Perfection is not required, but completion is mandatory.

Axent’s feedback system is designed to refine finished music, not to develop ideas from scratch.

Revision Path

• If a finished demo receives feedback, revisions are allowed as per policy

• Feedback is not provided on incomplete or idea-stage demos

Official demo submission email: demos@axentrecordings.com

13. Do collab demos get treated differently?

Yes, collaboration demos are handled slightly differently, but standards remain the same.

How Collab Demos Are Reviewed

• The track is evaluated on overall quality, not on individual contributors

• Creative cohesion between collaborators is closely observed

• Arrangement balance and clarity of roles matter

A strong collaboration feels intentional — not crowded or directionless.

Important Requirements

• All collaborators must be properly credited

• Ownership and contribution clarity is expected

• Any future release discussion requires consent from all collaborators

Axent does not resolve internal disputes between collaborators.

Signing & Release Implications

• A collab demo passing evaluation does not automatically sign all artists

• Release decisions may involve:

• One artist

• Multiple artists

• A one-off collaboration agreement

These decisions are handled case-by-case via management communication.

Management communication email: management@axentrecordings.com

14. What makes Axent reject a technically good track?

Technical quality alone does not guarantee selection at Axent Recordings.

Common Reasons for Rejection

• Lack of originality or distinct identity

• Predictable arrangement or formulaic structure

• Weak emotional impact despite clean production

• Overproduced tracks with no clear artistic direction

• Tracks that sound finished but say nothing new

A track can be technically perfect and still artistically forgettable.

Axent’s Core Focus

Axent looks for:

• Intent

• Character

• Direction

• Long-term artistic potential

A technically strong track without a point of view does not move forward.

Important Clarification

• Rejection does not equal poor skill

• Many rejected tracks are well-produced

• Selection is about fit, not capability

Axent prefers fewer meaningful releases over frequent safe ones.

15. What are a few tips that can help me get signed at Axent Recordings faster?

Getting signed at Axent Recordings isn’t about shortcuts, payments, or visibility tricks — it’s about clarity, quality, and alignment with how the label works.

First, follow the Demo Submission Policy properly. Many demos are filtered out simply because guidelines aren’t followed. Always submit your demo only to demos@axentrecordings.com, use clean streaming links, and send one demo per email. This ensures your track actually enters the evaluation system without friction.

Second, submit music that is finished, not experimental drafts. Axent’s A&R team evaluates demos assuming the track represents your current best work. Strong structure, intentional arrangement, and a clear creative direction help your demo move through stages faster.

Third, be receptive to feedback and implement it smartly. If you receive feedback from feedback@axentrecordings.com, it means your demo has potential. Artists who apply feedback accurately and resend improved versions tend to progress more smoothly through the evaluation stages.

Fourth, be patient and professional in communication. New demos always get priority over revised demos, so timelines may vary. Avoid follow-ups unless requested, and keep communication clear, concise, and relevant through official channels only.

Lastly, consistency matters more than frequency. Sending fewer but stronger demos over time creates a better impression than sending multiple average tracks. Axent tracks artist growth, not just individual demos.

16. How to communicate with Axent Recordings?

Axent Recordings follows a structured, role-based communication system. Every type of communication has a dedicated official email address, and messages are handled strictly through those channels.

Contacting Axent through the correct email ensures your message reaches the right team and is processed efficiently.

Axent does not operate through informal or personal communication channels.

What Counts as Official Communication

• Emails received from an official Axent domain email

• Written confirmations sent by the appropriate department

• Decisions communicated via official Axent emails (management@ or releases@)

Verbal conversations, social media messages, or assumptions do not count as official communication.

17. Does Axent Recordings have any paid tiers or subscription plans?

No. Axent Recordings does not operate on any paid tiers, subscriptions, memberships, or priority-access models.

Axent’s demo evaluation, feedback system, and artist selection process are entirely merit-based, not payment-based. Every demo submitted to demos@axentrecordings.com enters the same structured evaluation pipeline, regardless of the artist’s following, location, or financial capacity.

Axent deliberately avoids models such as:

• Paid feedback packages

• Priority demo listening for paid users

• Subscription-based artist access

• “Pro” or “Premium” demo plans

The reason is simple: creative value cannot be bought.

A technically strong, original track from an unknown artist is given the same consideration as any other submission.

Feedback, when provided, is governed strictly by Axent’s internal review policy and handled through feedback@axentrecordings.com

Payment never influences:

• Review priority

• Number of feedback rounds

• Advancement between A&R levels

• Signing or release decisions

Axent’s position is firm:

If a track is selected, it is because it deserves to be — not because access was purchased.

18. What happens once I get signed by Axent Recordings?

Once an artist is officially signed by Axent Recordings, the relationship moves from demo evaluation into structured label collaboration.

Signing means the artist is now working with Axent under clearly defined professional terms, workflows, and communication channels.

1. Official Confirmation of Signing

The artist receives written confirmation of signing via contracts@axentrecordings.com

• Verbal discussions, interest emails, or positive feedback do not count as signing

• Only written confirmation issued through Axent’s official contract channel is considered valid

2. Assignment of Official Communication Channels

After signing, communication is routed through specific departments:

• Artist management & coordination: management@axentrecordings.com

• Release planning & approvals: releases@axentrecordings.com

• Royalties, revenue & credits: royalties@axentrecordings.com

• Feedback, revisions & creative inputs: feedback@axentrecordings.com

This ensures clarity, accountability, and professional handling.

3. Release Planning & Roadmap

• Axent works with the artist to plan releases based on quality, readiness, and label strategy

• Release timelines are decided internally and communicated officially

• Not every signed track is released immediately

Signing does not guarantee instant release.

4. Branding, Credits & Representation

• Artist credits, naming, and branding are finalised before release

• Usage of Axent branding or domain emails is permitted only after approval

• All credits are handled through: royalties@axentrecordings.com

5. Creative Direction & Feedback

• Feedback continues through official channels

• Creative suggestions are advisory, not compulsory

• Final creative decisions rest with Axent’s label direction

6. Revenue, Royalties & Accounting

• Revenue splits, royalty reporting, and payouts are handled formally

• All financial matters are communicated via royalties@axentrecordings.com

• Informal or social discussions about money are not considered valid

7. Long-Term Relationship Possibility

• Signing may lead to multiple releases if collaboration remains consistent

• Growth depends on output quality, professionalism, and alignment

• Axent may pause or end collaboration if standards are not maintained

Important Clarifications

• Signing does not mean exclusivity unless explicitly stated

• Signing does not guarantee marketing scale or frequency

• Axent reserves the right to adjust plans based on internal strategy

Final Note

Being signed at Axent means entering a professional ecosystem — not just releasing a track, but building consistency, trust, and long-term collaboration.

19. Who has the final authority at Axent Recordings?

Axent Recordings operates with a clearly defined authority hierarchy to ensure consistency, accountability, and decisive leadership across all operations.

Final Authority Structure

Axent follows a tier-based system, but final authority rests at one level only.

Label Founder & Head – Axoid

Axoid holds the highest and final authority at Axent Recordings.

This authority includes, but is not limited to:

• Final approval or rejection of releases

• Artist signings, continuations, or terminations

• Label sound, vision, and long-term direction

• Overrides on A&R recommendations when required

• Strategic decisions related to growth, branding, and positioning

• Final say on disputes, escalations, or exceptions

Any decision confirmed by Axoid in writing is considered final and binding for Axent Recordings.

Role of A&R and Teams in Authority

• A&R teams recommend, they do not finalise

• Management executes, it does not override final authority

• Feedback, shortlisting, and reviews support decisions but do not replace them

What Counts as an Official Final Decision

• Decisions communicated via official Axent email domains

• Confirmations sent through: management@axentrecordings.com or releases@axentrecordings.com

• Written confirmations approved or acknowledged by the Label Head

Verbal conversations, assumptions, or indirect confirmations do not carry authority.

Important Clarification

• No team member, A&R level, or department can independently override final decisions

• Authority is centralized to maintain clarity and avoid conflicting communication

Axent’s authority structure ensures that while many professionals contribute to evaluation and execution, final accountability remains clear, singular, and decisive.

20. Are there any job opportunities at Axent Recordings?

Axent Recordings does not operate like a traditional corporate label with open, permanent job listings.

However, opportunities do exist at Axent based on need, capability, and alignment with the label’s vision.

All roles at Axent are selective, merit-based, and responsibility-driven.

How Opportunities at Axent Work

1. No Open Hiring or Mass Recruitment

Axent does not conduct walk-in interviews, public hiring drives, or internships by default.

Roles are created only when required, not to fill positions artificially.

2. Roles Are Skill-Based, Not Title-Based

Opportunities are offered based on:

• Proven skills

• Consistency

• Professional conduct

• Understanding of Axent’s workflow and standards

Titles alone hold no value without responsibility and execution.

3. Common Areas Where Opportunities May Arise

• A&R assistance and review support

• Artist coordination and communication

• Release operations and documentation

• Marketing, content, and promotion support

• Design, visuals, or branding-related work

• Administrative or operational assistance

Availability depends entirely on internal requirements.

4. Internal Growth Is Preferred

Axent prioritises:

• Existing contributors

• Trusted collaborators

• Artists or professionals who have already worked with the label

Long-term involvement and reliability matter more than formal resumes.

5. No Guaranteed Employment

Sending an email does not guarantee:

• A role

• A reply

• An interview

Every request is evaluated strictly on relevance and need.

Official Channel for Career Enquiries

All job, role, or internal opportunity-related communication must be sent to: careers@axentrecordings.com

Emails sent to other departments for job-related matters may be ignored.

21. How do long-term artists grow with Axent Recordings?

Axent Recordings is built for long-term artistic development, not one-off releases. Artists who grow with Axent do so through consistency, trust, performance, and alignment with the label’s vision.

Growth at Axent is earned over time, not promised upfront.

How Long-Term Growth Works at Axent

1. Consistency Over Time

Long-term artists are those who:

• Deliver music consistently

• Maintain quality across releases

• Respect timelines, processes, and communication channels

Consistency is valued more than sudden spikes or short-term hype.

2. Trust-Based Progression

As trust builds, artists may gradually receive:

• Faster internal evaluations

• Deeper creative discussions

• Early involvement in planning and scheduling

• Long-term release strategies instead of single-track decisions

Trust is built through actions, not expectations.

3. Creative Evolution Is Encouraged

Axent supports artists who:

• Evolve their sound while maintaining identity

• Take feedback seriously

• Show growth between releases

Stagnation limits long-term collaboration.

4. Deeper Involvement With the Label

Long-term artists may be involved in:

• Multiple releases across phases

• Extended release planning

• Label showcases, compilations, or special projects

• Brand-aligned collaborations

Such involvement is always merit-based.

5. Professional Communication & Conduct

Artists who grow with Axent:

• Communicate through official channels

• Respect boundaries and processes

• Avoid pressure tactics or entitlement

Professionalism plays a major role in long-term association.

6. Growth Is Mutual, Not One-Sided

Axent grows with artists who:

• Contribute positively to the label ecosystem

• Represent the label responsibly

• Understand that growth is a shared effort

No growth path is guaranteed without mutual alignment.

22. Does Axent Recordings provide guarantees for releases, promotion, or success?

No. Axent Recordings does not provide guarantees of release approval, promotion scale, chart

performance, streaming numbers, or commercial success.

Axent operates on a merit-based, effort-driven label model, not a results-guarantee system.

What Axent Does Guarantee

Axent guarantees:

• A structured evaluation process for demos

Professional handling of approved releases

Genuine label support within realistic and strategic limits

Fair treatment across all artists, without paid tiers or favouritism

Every approved release is handled seriously, professionally, and with intent — but outcomes depend on multiple factors beyond the label’s control.

What Axent Does NOT Guarantee

Axent does not guarantee:

• Release approval for every demo

• Playlist placements

• Streaming milestones or chart rankings

• Social media growth

• Media coverage or virality

• Career success or financial outcomes

Music success is influenced by audience response, market timing, competition, and long-term consistency — none of which can be promised ethically.

Promotion at Axent

Promotion at Axent is:

• Strategic, not artificial

• Planned based on the track, artist profile, and release context

• Focused on quality exposure, not inflated metrics

Promotion intensity may vary from release to release.

Why Axent Avoids Guarantees

Axent avoids guarantees because:

• Guarantees create false expectations

• Paid or promised outcomes compromise artistic integrity

• Real labels do not sell success — they build platforms

Axent chooses credibility over marketing gimmicks.

 23. Can Axent’s decision on a demo or artist be appealed or reconsidered later?

No. Axent Recordings’ decisions on demos and artist evaluations are final and non-appealable for the specific submission under review.

Once a demo or artist has been:

• Rejected

• Declined after feedback rounds

• Marked as INVALID under policy

That decision cannot be appealed, debated, or reconsidered for the same demo.

Axent does not entertain

• Appeal emails

• Re-review requests

• Explanations challenging A&R decisions

• Comparisons with other artists or releases

This ensures fairness, consistency, and a distraction-free review process.

What Can Be Reconsidered

While a decision on a specific demo is final, artists are always welcome to:

• Submit new music

• Submit under an improved production level

• Present a fresh creative direction

Each new demo is treated independently and reviewed on its own merit, regardless of past rejections.

Artist-Level Consideration

Rejection of a demo does not mean:

• Permanent rejection of the artist

• Blacklisting

• Loss of future opportunity

Axent evaluates music, not egos. Growth over time is respected.

Communication Policy

All official decisions are communicated only via Axent’s official email channels.

Appeal-related emails sent to demos@axentrecordings.com or feedback@axentrecordings.com will be ignored.

For general label-related communication (not appeals), artists may contact: contact@axentrecordings.com

For support-related queries, artists may contact : support@axentrecordings.com

24. How does artist management work at Axent Recordings?

Artist management at Axent Recordings follows a structured and centralized system to maintain clarity, professionalism, and consistency.

Once an artist is officially signed to Axent:

. All career-related communication is routed through the Axent management team

. The artist is assigned a clear point of contact for label-related matters

. Management oversees releases, timelines, branding direction, and coordination between internal teams

Artist management at Axent includes:

. Release planning and scheduling

. Coordination with A&R, marketing, and distribution teams

. Communication related to contracts, agreements, and long-term strategy

. Handling official label decisions and approvals

. Acting as the bridge between the artist and all internal Axent departments

All official management communication is conducted via: management@axentrecordings.com

This ensures decisions are documented, professional, and aligned with Axent’s internal policies.

Artists are not considered “managed” unless they are formally signed and communicated to through official Axent email channels.

25. What authority does each member at Axent Recordings have?

Axent Recordings follows a clearly defined authority structure to ensure transparency, accountability, and consistency in decision-making. Each role within Axent has specific responsibilities and limits of authority.

Founder & Label Head (Axoid)

Holds final authority over all creative, strategic, and business decisions at Axent.

This includes artist signings, releases, long-term vision, branding, disputes, and final approvals.

Any decision not explicitly delegated remains under the Founder & Label Head.

A&R Team (Level 3)

Works closely with the Founder & Label Head during final demo evaluations.

Can strongly recommend or advise against releases, but final authority does not rest with them.

A&R Team (Level 2)

Handles in-depth evaluation of shortlisted demos.

Can request revisions, provide structured feedback, and recommend demos for final review.

Has no authority to approve releases independently.

A&R Team (Level 1)

Responsible for initial demo screening and first-round feedback.

Can recommend demos for progression but cannot approve releases or sign artists.

Operates strictly within internal review guidelines.

Artist Management Team

Manages signed artists’ communication, timelines, coordination, and career planning.

Does not have authority to sign artists or alter contracts without approval.

Official communication is handled via management@axentrecordings.com.

Legal & Compliance

Handles contracts, agreements, disputes, and policy enforcement.

Ensures all actions align with applicable laws and Axent’s internal policies.

Reachable at legal@axentrecordings.com.

Support & Operations

Cannot influence creative or business decisions.

Available at support@axentrecordings.com.

Only written communication from official Axent email addresses constitutes valid authority or decisions.

26. How can I collaborate with Axent Recordings?

Collaboration with Axent Recordings depends on the nature, intent, and professional alignment of the proposal. Axent collaborates only through structured and official channels to maintain clarity and fairness.

Music Collaborations (Tracks / Projects)

Artists interested in collaborating musically with Axent must submit their work through the official demo channel: demos@axentrecordings.com

All submissions go through Axent’s A&R evaluation process. Collaboration is considered only after the demo is reviewed and shortlisted.

Artist-to-Label Collaborations

Collaborative projects involving multiple artists, joint releases, or special concepts are evaluated case-by-case. Such proposals must be sent to: management@axentrecordings.com

Only professionally structured proposals are reviewed.

Business, Brand, Media & Promotional Collaborations

This includes brand partnerships, sponsorships, events, licensing discussions, media features, interviews, and press coverage, and promotional tie-ups.

All such proposals must be sent to the appropriate official channels based on context:

• For brand, business, sponsorship, and strategic partnerships – brandcollabs@axentrecordings.com

• For media, press, interviews, and promotional features – mediacollabs@axentrecordings.com

Rules for Collaboration Requests

Unofficial DMs, personal emails, or social media messages are not considered valid collaboration requests.

Axent does not entertain collaboration requests without clear intent, context, or professional presentation.

Collaboration is always discretionary and subject to Axent’s artistic direction, availability, and internal review.

27. How Label Releases Actually Work (Spotify | Apple Music)

When a track is released under Axent Recordings, the release process follows an industry-standard label workflow rather than a personal artist upload.

Release Approval

A track is first approved internally after completing the A&R evaluation process and final label review. Approval is confirmed only via official Axent email communication.

Label as the Releasing Entity

Axent Recordings acts as the official label on the release.

The label name “Axent Recordings” is listed in the metadata of the track, not as an artist profile.

Artist Profile Handling

The track appears on the artist’s existing Spotify / Apple Music artist profile (or a new one if created).

Axent Recordings does not appear as an artist profile, but as the label in the backend metadata.

Distribution to Platforms

Axent handles distribution through official distribution partners.

Axent manages:

. Delivery to Spotify, Apple Music, and other DSPs

. Metadata accuracy

. ISRC, UPC, credits, and label attribution

Credits & Label Visibility

On Spotify and Apple Music, Axent Recordings is visible under:

“℗ / © Axent Recordings”

Label credits section (platform-dependent)

Post-Release Control

Axent manages:

. Release scheduling

. Updates or corrections (if required)

. Coordination for takedowns or changes, if ever needed

Artists do not directly upload label releases themselves. All uploads are managed centrally by Axent to maintain consistency, quality control, and legal clarity.

28. How is marketing and promotion planned at Axent Recordings?

Marketing and promotion at Axent Recordings are planned strategically on a per-release basis, not through generic or guaranteed campaigns.

Release-Based Strategy

Each release is evaluated individually to determine the appropriate level of marketing support. Promotion depends on:

. Track quality and uniqueness

. Artist readiness and brand clarity

. Long-term alignment with Axent’s vision

Internal Planning

Promotion plans are structured internally by Axent and may include:

. Release announcements across Axent platforms

. Playlist pitching (where applicable)

. Social media positioning and timing

. Label-brand amplification

Artist Collaboration

Artists are expected to actively support their releases. Promotion works best when:

. Artist and label efforts are aligned

. Artists engage their existing audience

. Content and branding are consistent

No Guaranteed Outcomes

Axent does not guarantee:

. Playlist placements

. Streaming numbers

. Virality or chart positions

Promotion is a collaborative process, not a paid service or entitlement.

Communication Channel

All promotion-related discussions are handled via official channels: marketing@axentrecordings.com

Only written confirmation from Axent is considered valid.

29. How are revenue, royalties, and credits handled?

Revenue, royalties, and credits at Axent Recordings are handled in a structured, transparent, and  agreement-based manner.

Revenue & Royalties

Revenue generated from a release (streaming, downloads, licensing, etc.) is handled strictly as per the signed agreement between the artist and Axent Recordings.

. Splits are defined clearly before release

. No verbal or assumed splits are considered valid

. Payments are processed according to agreed timelines

Royalties Management

All royalty-related matters are coordinated through: royalties@axentrecordings.com

This includes:

. Royalty statements

. Payment schedules

. Revenue clarification

. Dispute resolution (if any)

Credits & Metadata

Credits are locked before release and include:

. Artist name(s)

. Collaborators

. Producers / writers (as applicable)

. Label credit (Axent Recordings)

Once a track is delivered and released, credits cannot be changed unless legally required.

Artist Responsibility

Artists are responsible for:

. Providing correct legal names and credits

. Ensuring originality and clearance

. Declaring collaborators accurately

Axent Recordings is not liable for incorrect credit information provided by the artist.

Final Authority

All revenue, royalty, and credit decisions are finalised only after written confirmation from Axent Recordings. Informal discussions or messages are not considered binding.

30. How are exits, pauses, or breaks handled at Axent Recordings?

Axent Recordings understands that creative paths and professional priorities can change. When an exit is requested or required, it is handled transparently, respectfully, and in line with the signed agreement, protecting the interests of both the artist and the label.

Artist-Initiated Pauses

Artists may request a temporary pause from releases, collaborations, or label activities.

. Pauses must be communicated officially via email

. Requests should clearly mention the reason and expected duration

. During a pause, no release commitments are assumed

All pause-related communication should be sent to: management@axentrecordings.com

Label-Initiated Pauses

Axent Recordings may place an artist on hold due to:

. Scheduling conflicts

. Strategic planning

. Market timing

. Internal release calendars

Such pauses do not imply rejection or termination.

Exits / Termination

An exit refers to the formal end of the working relationship.

. Exits are governed strictly by the signed agreement

. Ongoing obligations (royalties, credits, existing releases) remain intact

. No new releases are processed post-exit unless contractually agreed

Exit-related matters are handled via: legal@axentrecordings.com

Breaks vs Exits

. A break is temporary and reversible

. An exit is formal and final unless re-signed

. Verbal statements or inactivity do not count as an exit

Final Authority

All exits, pauses, or breaks are valid only when acknowledged in writing by Axent Recordings. Silence or assumptions are not considered official.

31. How long does Axent Recordings usually take to review demos?

Axent Recordings follows a structured, multi-level demo evaluation process.

Review time depends on multiple factors, including submission volume, evaluation stage, and whether feedback or revisions are involved.

General review timeline:

Stage 1 (A&R – Level 1):

Initial screening usually takes a few days to a couple of weeks depending on incoming demo volume.

Stage 2 (A&R – Level 2):

In-depth evaluation may take longer than Stage 1, as tracks are reviewed more critically and compared against Axent’s broader release direction.

Stage 3 (Final Review):

Final decisions are made only after internal alignment. Timelines here are not fixed and depend on release planning and internal review schedules.

Important clarifications:

. Axent does not follow a first-come-first-serve approval system

. New demos are always prioritized over revised demos

. Follow-up emails do not speed up the review process

. Silence during review does not indicate rejection or approval

Artists will be contacted only via official Axent email IDs if their demo progresses, requires revision, or is declined. For demo-related communication, artists should use: demos@axentrecordings.com

For feedback-related replies (when applicable): feedback@axentrecordings.com

Axent Recordings does not guarantee review timelines and reserves the right to review demos at its own pace.

32. Can I follow up on my demo submission?

No. Axent Recordings does not allow follow-ups for demo submissions unless explicitly requested by the A&R team.

How follow-ups are handled at Axent:

. Demos are reviewed internally according to Axent’s evaluation workflow

. Follow-up emails do not accelerate review timelines

. Multiple follow-ups may negatively impact the submission

. Unsolicited follow-ups can result in the demo being skipped or ignored

If Axent requires revisions, clarification, or further material, the artist will be contacted directly via official Axent email IDs.

Important clarification:

. Not receiving a reply does not mean the demo was missed

. Review silence does not imply rejection or approval

. Axent contacts artists only when there is a clear outcome or next step

Artists should not resend the same demo unless revision feedback has been explicitly provided.

For demo submissions: demos@axentrecordings.com

For feedback-related communication (only when invited): feedback@axentrecordings.com

Axent Recordings’ review process is internal, structured, and final.

33. Can I submit the same demo again if it was rejected earlier?

No. A demo that has already been reviewed and rejected by Axent Recordings should not be resubmitted in the same form.

How Axent treats re-submissions:

. If a demo was rejected without feedback, it should not be resent

. If feedback was provided, revisions are allowed only within the 3-feedback limit

. Once a demo is marked INVALID, it cannot be reviewed again under any circumstance

. Re-uploading the same demo under a different name or email is not permitted

Axent encourages artists to submit new music instead of reworking rejected material beyond the allowed feedback rounds.

Important note:

. Rejection applies to the demo, not the artist

. Artists are welcome to submit fresh tracks in the future

. New demos are always evaluated independently of past submissions

Decisions taken on a demo are final for that specific submission.

34. How does Axent Recordings focus on long-term brand building for its artists?

Axent Recordings is built with a long-term vision, not short-term releases or one-off hype.

Long-term brand building at Axent focuses on consistency, identity, and sustainable growth rather than quick exposure.

Axent’s long-term approach includes:

. Developing the artist’s sound and musical direction over multiple releases

. Maintaining consistency in quality, branding, and release strategy

. Positioning the artist correctly within Axent’s roster and genre ecosystem

. Avoiding rushed releases that dilute the artist’s identity

. Supporting artists who show discipline, growth, and long-term commitment

Artist growth is measured by:

. Musical evolution across releases

. Professional communication and reliability

. Willingness to improve based on structured feedback

. Long-term alignment with Axent’s vision and standards

Important clarity:

. Axent does not promise overnight success or instant exposure

. Brand building is gradual and release-driven

. Artists who remain consistent and patient benefit the most over time

Axent prioritises artists who think long-term, not those seeking quick wins.

35. What Can Cause Axent Recordings to Remove an Artist from the Label

Axent Recordings reserves the right to remove an artist from the label under specific circumstances to protect its integrity, operations, and long-term vision.

Removal may occur if an artist:

• Breaches contractual or written agreements

• Misrepresents Axent Recordings publicly

• Releases music independently or through other labels without disclosure

• Engages in unprofessional, abusive, or disruptive behaviour

• Fails to meet agreed timelines or obligations repeatedly

• Violates legal, copyright, or rights-related commitments

Important clarifications:

• Removal decisions are evaluated internally on a case-by-case basis

• Prior warnings may be issued but are not mandatory

• Removal does not require public explanation

Artist removal does not negate previously fulfilled obligations unless stated otherwise in written agreements.

36. Multiple Aliases / Projects

Axent Recordings understands that artists may work under multiple aliases or creative projects.

In electronic music, different aliases often represent different sounds, concepts, or artistic directions.

Axent does not restrict artists to a single creative identity.

However:

• Each alias or project must be communicated clearly

• Demos must specify the exact artist name or alias

• Approval or consideration of one project does not automatically apply to another

• Each alias is evaluated independently based on its own merit

Axent supports long-term artistic growth while maintaining clarity, structure, and professional boundaries across all projects.

This approach allows artists to explore creatively without compromising transparency or label standards.

37. Rights Expectations

By engaging with Axent Recordings, artists are expected to respect basic industry-standard rights and ownership principles.

This includes:

• Submitting only original work or properly cleared collaborations

• Ensuring no copyright infringement or third-party claims

• Respecting credits, splits, and contributor acknowledgements

• Understanding that rights discussions are finalized only through written agreements

Detailed rights, ownership, and royalty terms are always defined later through official contracts, not assumptions or informal conversations.

38. Policy Breach & Consequences

Axent Recordings maintains professional standards to protect both the artist and the label.

A policy breach may include:

• Misrepresentation of ownership or credits

• Violating communication or submission guidelines

• Breaching confidentiality or agreements

• Repeated disregard for official processes

Consequences depend on severity and context and may include:

• Suspension of review or feedback

• Removal from active consideration

• Termination of collaboration where applicable

Axent aims to act fairly, proportionately, and professionally in all such situations.

39. Performance Tracking

Once a track is released under Axent Recordings, its performance is monitored over time.

This includes:

• Streaming performance and listener engagement

• Platform response (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.)

• Audience retention and organic reach

• Overall market response relative to expectations

Performance tracking is used to understand growth patterns — not to pressure or penalize artists.

Data helps Axent make informed decisions about future releases, promotion focus, and long-term strategy.

40. Underperformance Handling

Not every release performs the same way. Underperformance is a normal part of an artist’s journey.

If a release underperforms:

• It is not treated as a failure

• It does not automatically affect future opportunities

• It does not end an artist’s relationship with the label

Axent evaluates underperformance in context, considering:

• Market timing

• Release competition

• Artist growth stage

• Long-term potential

Decisions are never based on a single release alone.

41. Professional Conduct & Artist Responsibility

Axent Recordings expects all artists associated with the label to maintain a basic level of professionalism, both in communication and conduct.

This applies before signing, during collaboration, and after release.

Professional conduct includes:

• Clear and respectful communication

• Timely responses on official matters

• Following submission, feedback, and communication protocols

• Respecting internal processes and decisions

Unprofessional behavior such as spamming, pressuring for decisions, public misrepresentation, or bypassing official channels may impact future collaboration.

Axent Recordings believes talent matters — but professionalism sustains long-term growth.

Artists who treat the label relationship seriously are always given priority in long-term planning.

42. Confidentiality, Privacy & Internal Information

Axent Recordings treats all internal processes, communications, and discussions as confidential by default.

This applies to both unsigned and signed artists.

Confidentiality includes:

• Demo feedback, internal opinions, and review comments

• Shortlisting status, discussions, or potential plans

• Contracts, negotiations, and release-related conversations

• Internal emails, documents, or policies shared privately

Artists are not permitted to:

• Publicly share screenshots of emails or feedback

• Misrepresent internal discussions as confirmations

• Announce releases, signings, or approvals without written clearance

• Disclose internal processes or decisions to third parties

Any breach of confidentiality may result in:

• Immediate termination of communication

• Withdrawal from ongoing discussions

• Cancellation of potential releases or collaborations

Axent Recordings values trust as much as talent.

Artists who respect privacy are considered reliable for long-term collaboration.

43. Policy Updates, Changes & Version Control

Axent Recordings reserves the right to update, revise, or modify its policies, processes, and internal guidelines at any time.

This includes (but is not limited to):

• Demo submission rules

• Feedback and revision limits

• Evaluation stages and timelines

• Artist engagement and communication processes

• Legal, administrative, or operational terms

Key points to understand:

• The latest published version of any Axent policy is always considered valid

• Artists are responsible for staying updated with current policies

• Policy changes apply to both new and ongoing submissions, unless stated otherwise

• No individual notifications are guaranteed for policy updates

Updated policies will be:

• Published via official Axent channels

• Shared through updated documents, folders, or links

• Reflected in official communications when relevant

Continuation of communication or submission after an update implies acceptance of the revised terms.

Axent Recordings maintains transparent documentation so expectations remain clear for everyone involved.

44. Transparency, Fairness & Final Disclaimer

Axent Recordings is built on the principles of transparency, merit-based evaluation, and long-term artist development.

What this means in practice:

• Every demo is evaluated through a defined internal process

• Decisions are based on music, direction, and timing — not favouritism

• No artist is guaranteed selection, release, or promotion

• Feedback (when provided) is structured, limited, and policy-driven

• Internal decisions are made to protect both the label and the artist ecosystem

Important clarifications:

• Axent Recordings does not operate on hype, pressure, or personal influence

• Silence or delay does not imply interest or rejection unless communicated officially

• All official decisions are communicated only via authorised Axent email channels

• Informal conversations, social media interactions, or verbal discussions hold no official weight

Final authority:

• All final decisions rest with Axent Recordings

• Certain decisions may involve A&R teams, management, or label leadership

• Once communicated, decisions are final and non-negotiable

By engaging with Axent Recordings — whether through demos, communication, or collaboration — artists acknowledge and accept that:

• Not every submission will move forward

• Not every process will be explained in detail

• Professional boundaries are maintained at all times

Axent Recordings remains committed to clarity, professionalism, and respect — while prioritizing music, vision, and sustainability above all else.

45. Confidentiality & Internal Process Protection

Axent Recordings maintains strict confidentiality across all internal processes, communications, and evaluations

What this means:

• Internal A&R discussions, review notes, and decision-making processes are confidential

• Artists are not entitled to internal deliberations or reviewer identities

• Feedback provided is curated and intentionally limited

• Internal disagreements or alternate opinions are not shared externally

Important clarifications:

• Screenshots of emails, feedback, or internal communication may not be shared publicly

• Misrepresentation of Axent’s feedback or decisions is not permitted

• Breach of confidentiality may result in permanent exclusion from future consideration

This policy exists to protect:

• Artists

• A&R members

• The integrity of Axent’s review system

46. Policy Updates, Versioning & Continuity

Axent Recordings may update, revise, or expand its policies as the label evolves.

Key points:

• Policies may be updated without individual notification

• The latest published version is always considered final

• Ongoing submissions are subject to the most recent policy version

• Previous versions hold no authority once updated

Artists are encouraged to:

• Review policies periodically

• Follow the most current guidelines before submitting music

• Treat Axent’s documentation as a living framework, not a static rulebook

47. Conflict of Interest Policy

Axent Recordings ensures fair decision-making by managing conflicts of interest.

Key points:

• A&R members must disclose personal or professional relationships with submitting artists

• Final decisions are not influenced by friendships, favors, or external pressure

• In case of conflict, review responsibility may be reassigned internally

This protects:

• Artists

• A&R credibility

• Axent’s decision integrity

48. Unsolicited Material & Liability Disclaimer

Axent Recordings is not responsible for unsolicited material sent outside official channels.

This includes:

• Demos sent to personal emails

• Social media DMs

• Physical media or third-party links

Important clarifications:

• Axent assumes no liability for lost, damaged, or inaccessible material

• Artists are solely responsible for maintaining backups of their work

Only submissions sent via official channels are considered valid.

49. Use of Axent Name, Brand & Association

Artists may reference Axent Recordings only under permitted circumstances.

Rules:

• “Associated with Axent” may only be used after written confirmation

• Use of Axent name, logo, or branding without approval is prohibited

• Misuse of association may lead to immediate termination of discussions

Brand integrity is strictly protected.

50. Final Authority & Interpretation Clause

In all cases of ambiguity, dispute, or interpretation:

• Axent Recordings’ interpretation of its policies shall prevail

• Internal determinations are final

• No external explanation is owed beyond official communication

This clause exists to ensure operational clarity and continuity.

51. Legal Compliance, Liability & Rights Protection

Axent Recordings operates in compliance with applicable laws, industry standards, and intellectual property regulations. All artists, collaborators, and third parties engaging with Axent are expected to adhere to legal, copyright, and contractual obligations at all times.

Axent Recordings is not liable for legal disputes arising from an artist’s independent actions, content ownership issues, or third-party claims outside of written agreements.

Legal issues may arise if an artist:

. Submits music they do not fully own or control the rights to

. Uses uncleared samples, vocals, melodies, or copyrighted material

. Provides false or misleading ownership, identity, or rights information

. Engages in copyright infringement, plagiarism, or rights misuse

. Violates distribution, licensing, or exclusivity agreements

. Uses Axent’s name, brand, or association without written authorisation

. Causes legal risk, reputational harm, or financial liability to the label

Important legal clarifications:

. Artists are solely responsible for ensuring their submissions are legally cleared

. Axent may request proof of ownership, splits, or clearances at any stage

. Axent reserves the right to suspend, remove, or withhold releases due to legal concerns

. Legal matters are handled internally and may involve external legal counsel

. Axent is not obligated to disclose internal legal processes or decisions publicly

Any breach of legal obligations may result in termination of collaboration, removal of content, or further action as deemed necessary under applicable law.

This document reflects the most current policies, processes, and operational standards of Axent Recordings as of the date mentioned above.
