Please ensure you have carefully read and understood our Demo Submission Policy before submitting your demo.
Q7. Does releasing on Axent Radar guarantee a signing on Axent Recordings?
No. Axent Radar does not guarantee a signing or automatic movement to the main label. It functions as a discovery and evaluation space where artists can showcase their potential. Each artist and release is assessed independently, and decisions are made based on long-term suitability rather than individual tracks.
Axent Recordings maintains a separate and higher selection threshold.
Q8. What happens after I send my demo to Axent Recordings?
Once your demo is sent to Axent Recordings, you’ll receive an automated acknowledgment confirming receipt. Your demo then enters Axent’s A&R review process and is evaluated in stages based on merit and fit.
If selected for feedback or progression, you’ll be contacted via official Axent emails; otherwise, you’ll be informed if the demo is not moving forward.
Q9. How does feedback work at Axent Recordings?
Feedback is provided at the discretion of Axent’s A&R team and is not guaranteed for every demo. A demo can receive feedback for a maximum of three (3) rounds across all stages combined.
Once three feedback rounds are completed, the demo is considered invalid, and no further reviews or revisions are accepted.
Q10. How long does Axent Recordings usually take to review demos?
Axent Recordings typically provides feedback within 24–48 hours. However, response times may vary in some cases.
Please Note: New demos are always given priority over revised demos, so revised submissions may take additional time to be reviewed.
Q11. Will Axent Recordings help with artwork, branding, and visuals?
Yes. Axent Recordings supports artists with release presentation, creative direction, and overall branding when the project is approved. This may include guidance for artwork, typography, cover design direction, visual identity, and rollout planning. The goal is to make sure every release looks as premium as it sounds.
Final support depends on the release type, timeline, and what the project requires.
Q12. Can I send follow-up emails asking for demo updates?
No. Follow-up emails regarding demo status are not encouraged. Axent Recordings reviews demos in a structured process, and repeated follow-ups do not speed up evaluation.
If your demo moves forward or requires feedback, the A&R team will contact you directly via the official email channels.
Q13. Can I send the same demo multiple times to Axent Recordings?
No. Sending the same demo multiple times is not allowed. Each demo is reviewed once and may receive up to three feedback rounds in total, as per policy.
Re-sending the same demo without changes or after invalidation may result in it being ignored.
Q14. How does A&R work at Axent Recordings?
Axent Recordings follows a structured, multi-level A&R process to ensure fair and consistent evaluation. Demos are reviewed across A&R Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3, based on quality and alignment with Axent’s vision.
Each level focuses on deeper evaluation, and only selected demos move forward in the process.
Q15. Are Axent Radar releases treated differently from main label releases?
Yes. Axent Radar releases focus on discovery, experimentation, and early exposure. Axent Recordings releases represent finalised direction, brand positioning, and long-term commitment.
Both platforms are curated, but the expectations and objectives differ.
Q16. What does Axent Recordings look for in an artist before signing?
We look for strong music quality, creative individuality, and consistency in your sound. We also evaluate how well your style aligns with the Axent ecosystem and whether your project has long-term growth potential.
Professionalism, openness to feedback, and a genuine commitment to improvement are essential. We sign artists we can genuinely build with—not just release once and move on.
Q17. Do I need to have a big following to get signed?
No. We do not sign artists based on follower count or social media numbers. Our focus is always on the music first — its quality, originality, and long-term potential. If your work fits Axent’s quality and vision, it will be considered regardless of your current audience size.
A strong identity matters more than a large following.
Q18. Does Axent Radar have a different branding or identity?
Yes. Axent Radar operates with its own visual identity to clearly distinguish it from Axent Recordings.
However, it remains an official division of Axent Recordings and follows the same core principles of quality, vision, and professionalism.
Q19. Can I submit demos under a different artist name or alias?
Yes. You may submit demos under a different artist name or alias, as long as the submission is clear and consistent. Make sure the artist name mentioned in your demo links and email matches the name you want Axent to review.
If the demo progresses toward signing, identity and branding details will be discussed formally at a later stage.
Q20. Can I submit unfinished demos or rough ideas to Axent Recordings?
No. Axent Recordings only accepts fully finished demos. Your track must be complete in structure, arrangement, and overall production, including proper mixing and mastering.
Unfinished demos, rough ideas, or work-in-progress submissions are not reviewed and may be skipped.
Q21. Are there job or career opportunities at Axent Recordings?
Yes, Axent Recordings may open opportunities across A&R, marketing, operations, creative, or support roles as the label grows. All job-related enquiries must be sent via careers@axentrecordings.com only.
Unsolicited DMs or demo emails for job applications are not considered, and openings are evaluated strictly based on requirement and fit.
Q22. How can I collaborate with Axent Recordings?
Collaborations with Axent Recordings can happen through music releases, remixes, events, brand tie-ups, or official partnerships. All collaboration proposals must be sent via official channels only, depending on the nature of the request.
You can find the complete list of official Axent Recordings contact emails here: www.axentrecordings.com/connect
Q23. Can Axent’s decision on a demo or artist be appealed later?
No. Decisions made by Axent Recordings on demos or artists are final for that specific submission. Appeals, repeated follow-ups, or re-arguments on the same demo are not considered.
However, artists are always welcome to submit new and different music in the future through demos@axentrecordings.com, as each new submission is reviewed independently.
Q24. Can I release my music directly on Axent Recordings without going through Axent Radar?
Yes, but only in select cases. Axent Recordings is the main label and remains highly selective. Exceptional demos or established artists that strongly align with Axent’s vision may be considered directly.
For most new artists, Axent Radar is the preferred starting point. It allows the Axent team to observe an artist’s sound, growth, and potential before considering releases on the main label.
For clarity and transparency: In select cases, an Artist may be considered for a direct release on Axent Recordings without a prior release on Axent Radar.
Such cases are evaluated internally by A&R Level 3 in consultation with the Management team.
Q25. How can I get signed as an Artist by Axent Recordings?
Artists get signed to Axent Recordings purely through the demo evaluation process. All new and emerging artists are first evaluated through Axent Radar, which acts as the initial discovery and observation platform. Artists releasing on Axent Radar are considered on the label’s radar, where their sound, consistency, growth, and long-term artistic direction are closely followed over time.
Movement to Axent Recordings depends on artistic growth, consistency, originality, and alignment with Axent’s long-term vision — not on timelines, expectations, or individual releases. Final decisions for main label releases are made solely by Axent Recordings through internal A&R review. There is no direct application or shortcut.
Q26. Who owns the rights to a demo after submission?
The artist retains full ownership and rights to their demo at all times. Submitting a demo to Axent Recordings does not transfer any rights or ownership.
Axent Recordings does not claim, distribute, or use demos without a formal written agreement.
Q27. Can I submit the same demo to multiple labels while submitting to Axent?
Yes. Artists are free to submit their demos to multiple labels. Axent does not require exclusivity at the demo submission stage.
However, if Axent Recordings decides to move forward with a release, exclusivity terms will be discussed before any agreement is finalised.
Q28. How many demos can I send to Axent, and how often?
Artists may submit up to 1 demo at a time. Re-submissions should only be made when there is a clear improvement or a new, fully finished track. Quality matters more than frequency.
Sending unfinished or repetitive material may slow down future reviews.
Q29. Do collaboration demos get treated differently?
No. Collaboration demos are evaluated the same way as solo submissions. All collaborators must be clearly credited, and all parties must agree on the submission.
Axent Recordings expects transparency regarding ownership, splits, and creative roles before any release discussion.
Q30. What makes Axent reject a technically good track?
Technical quality alone is not enough. A track may be rejected if it lacks originality, clear identity, long-term vision, or alignment with Axent’s sound direction.
We focus on music that stands out artistically, not just production standards.
Q31. What happens once I get signed by Axent Recordings?
Once signed, we work closely with the artist on release planning, artwork, distribution, timelines, and positioning. Each release is treated individually based on the artist’s goals and consistency.
Signing does not guarantee unlimited releases — every project is evaluated on its own merit.
Q32. Does Axent Recordings provide guarantees for releases, promotion, or success?
No. Axent Recordings does not guarantee chart positions, streaming numbers, bookings, or commercial success.
The label provides a professional release framework, but growth depends on music quality, consistency, and long-term artist development.
Q33. How are revenue, royalties, and credits handled?
All revenue splits, royalty terms, and credits are defined clearly before release through a written agreement.
We value transparency and ensures artists understand how income and rights are managed before moving forward.
Q34. How are exits, pauses, or breaks handled at Axent Recordings?
Artists are free to take breaks or step away from releasing music. Axent Recordings does not force timelines. Any exit or pause is handled respectfully, based on communication and existing agreements.
Long-term alignment matters more than short-term activity.
Q35. Can I send unreleased music that’s already uploaded privately somewhere?
Yes. You may share unreleased music using private links (such as unlisted/private streaming links) as long as it is not publicly available. Make sure the link is accessible, properly labelled, and includes the correct track versions. We recommend sending clean, final demos so the evaluation is accurate.
Any broken links or incomplete submissions may delay review.
