An important clarification regarding Axent Recordings and its official releases

30 August 2026

We recently became aware of a release that listed Axent Recordings as its label despite having no prior association, agreement, approval, or authorization from our team.

We would like to take this opportunity to clarify that the Axent Recordings name should only be used for releases that have been officially approved and authorized by the label.

If you are releasing music independently, please ensure that your own label information is used in the appropriate label/metadata fields. Simply adding Axent Recordings to a release does not make the release an Axent release.

We believe the music industry works best when everyone keeps their credits, affiliations, and release information transparent, accurate, and fair.

If you are interested in releasing through Axent Recordings, we encourage you to follow our official demo submission process and allow our A&R team to review your music. If a release is accepted, all relevant agreements, credits, and release details will be confirmed with the artist before distribution.

Please do not use the Axent Recordings name, branding, or label credit on any release that has not been officially authorized by the label.

This isn’t about discouraging independent artists — quite the opposite. We want every artist to receive accurate credit for their work, and every label to be represented honestly.
